BOOKING- AND CANCELLATION TERMS

Services or equipment can be booked in person or by phone, by email or on the electronic booking system.

accommodation

Check-in for cottages begins at 4 PM and check-out is at 12 noon

Check-in for caravans and tents begins at 3 PM and check-out is at 2 PM

Pre-booked cottages and caravan pitches are held until 6 PM unless a later arrival has been agreed.

Payment

Reservations must be paid in advance via the online system or upon arrival at the latest. During special events, advance invoicing applies.

Travelers

The maximum number of people per cottage equals the number of beds and extra beds available. This number must be declared on the passenger card at the latest upon check-in and cannot be exceeded.

Minors

Minors are welcome to stay with us. Each guest must have a written permission note from a guardian, including the guardian’s phone number. All guests in the same cottage are jointly responsible for any intentional damage or theft of property. All acts of vandalism will be reported to guardians and, if necessary, to the police.

Cabins

All cottages have at least heating, beds+ duvets and pillows according to capacity

Bed linen must be used and can be rented when booking or from reception. You may also bring your own linen or sleeping bag

Toilets, showers, kitchen and water points are located in separate service buildings

Many cottage types also have a fridge and a hotplate. Detailed equipment lists are available in the cottage descriptions

Final cleaning of camping cabins is included in the price. However, guests are required to empty the fridge, take the trash to the designated waste point, and remove any bottles and cans. Rented linens should be left folded on the bed.

Smoking

All indoor areas are non-smoking.

Smoking is allowed only outside the accommodation and on the restaurant terrace. A cleaning and ventilation fee may be charged for unauthorized indoor smoking.

Pets

Pets are allowed in the cottages but must always be announced in advance. Please bring a separate bed for your pet – they are not allowed on beds or sofas. An additional €10 fee applies per stay.

Cancellations

If you are unable to arrive, the reservation must be cancelled immediately by phone or email to the Härmälä Camping. Please refer to the booking and cancellation policy at the end of this section.

Passanger card

You can fill out and print the electronic passenger card in advance to speed up check-in.

Is it possible to check-in before 4 PM?

The cottage is available to the previous guest until 12 noon. On busy days, nearly 100 cottages must be cleaned. On quieter days, earlier check-in may be possible—please inquire a few days before your arrival.

What to do if I lose or misplace the cottage key?

The guest is responsible for the key and cottage during the stay. If the key is left inside the cottage, a €30 fee is charged for nighttime assistance (11 PM–6 AM). Lost keys requiring lock replacement will be charged accordingly.

What happens to my booking if I arrive after 6 PM?

  • If you expect to arrive later, please notify reception or mention it during booking.
  • Prepaid reservations remain valid without notification.

Am I allowed to use the services if I am not staying in the accommodation?

Yes, the restaurant is open to everyone. You can also book sauna and rent sports equipment from the reception, online or by email.

Can I book a sauna if I am not staying in the accommodation?

Yes, you can book a sauna online or at reception.

Can I bring pets to the area?

Pets are welcome if kept on a leash.. Please collect and dispose of waste in general waste bins.

Am I allowed to bring my pet into the accommodation?

  • Pets are allowed in cottages but must be reported in advance. Bring a separate sleeping place—pets are not allowed on beds or sofas. A €10 pet fee applies.
  • In your own caravan or tent, pets are allowed without prior notice or additional fee.

Do you sell any alcoholic drinks in the restaurant? Can I buy or order food as takeaway?

The restaurant serves mild alcoholic beverages and wine. Food can be purchased for takeaway. . The kiosk also sells mild alcoholic beverages.

Lost property

Lost items are kept for 3 months and can be picked up at the reception free of charge. Once the campsite closes in autumn, items remain stored over the winter and can be inquired about again in May when we reopen. Shipping costs are the guest's responsibility.

Does public transport go to Härmälä and is it easy to get to the city center?

Buses provide easy access to and from the city center. The nearest stop, Leirintäkatu, is about 400 m away. Buses 30 and 32 go directly to the center.
